I attended a wedding this morning at the Metropolitan Community Church here in Toronto. A gay couple, from Central Nfld, and friends of mine, were married there. I was delighted that they asked me to do the Scripture reading. As well I got to meet the pastor there, Brent Hawkes , who had done the theology course with me, at Trinity College, way back in the fall of 1980. It has been a week of reconnecting with friends. It helps to ground you in things much bigger than just the small world we often surround ourselves with in our home communities and churches. Rob and Rick's wedding picture.
